I had the day off yesterday so naturally I slept in ‘til the evening, meaning I was up all night (I still haven’t slept!). I spent yesterday working on my hair (finally blonde!) & hanging out with my boyfriend but when I got home last night I made a pact with myself that the only way I was allowed to spend any of my brand-new, hard-earned paycheque was if I cleaned up my disgusting shit hole of a bedroom.

Because I’m a bit of a shopaholic (aren’t most girls?) that was great incentive! All I have left is laundry, lots of laundry. I mean, ideally I’d sort through all my old clothes and throw a bunch of stuff out but I’m pulling some insomniac shit so I figure I can cut myself some slack.

.. Despite the fact that I’d be giving myself a reward I didn’t earn … Yikes! Baby steps!

While cleaning my room I discovered that I really need a way to store my cosmetics and hair products, which both thrills me and dejects me because that means buying more stuff.

I’m going to head to Yokoyaya in International Village to pick out some cute little storage drawers or something, and maybe pick up some other goodies while I’m there, I usually can’t help it.

I heard from the grapevine that there’s a kiosk outside Yokoyaya that sells Circle Lenses, and there’s a 2 pair for $20 deal. I’m intrigued! I want to try them! But I was told that the quality isn’t great, and poor quality ones can damage your eyes (oh no!) so I’m still undecided.

I also want to buy false lashes, but I always lose them after wearing them once. I don’t even know how it happens. So I don’t know about that either.

OH, and Army & Navy discount department store is having their famous shoe sale as well so maybe I should look around to see if there’s any dope swag there.

I’m gonna need a lot of coffee to get through today I think. Especially since my baby is working tonight until 11pm and I’ll have to stay up late hanging out with him. New episode of Community tonight wooo.

I just searched “east van” on tumblr, cause I’d like to follow some tumblords from my hood (& when you search “vancouver” all you get is hockey team memorabilia & black and white photos of gastown) which proved fruitful, however I saw a lot of people I recognize FROM chillin in east van which weirds me out cause I’d feel like a trippy cyber stalker if I followed them.

Ehhh.

I guess there’s nothing to be done but to be reppin’ 604 all day long.

Yesterday I met my boyfriend with lattes and we hopped on the train to New Westminster. It was a little rainy but we walked to the river docks and smoked a doobie watching the boats and bridges.

After that we went to The Keg because my dad had given me a $100 giftcard out of the blue! So we got Mushrooms Neptune & Kalimari and my boyfriend got a yummy Peppercorn NY Steak and I got some Creole Chicken (but I ate like everything except the chicken off my plate .. oops). My bf got beer & I got a glass of Cypress Vinyards White Zinfandel wine (omg my new favorite) then we shared an apple crumble. :D

Then it was time to go to the casino to see Penn & Teller! On the train we gobbled weed cookies & then we caught a  bus to the casino, arriving just as the doors opened. First we loaded up on swag (Jordan got a shirt & a deck of cards, I got a souvenir book written by Penn & Teller, about Penn & Teller), then we headed to our seats. Not before stopping at the bar, where my bf got another beer and I got some cranberry juice (I’m a square).

THE SHOW WAS AMAZING, it was everything I could have hoped for, they are such amazing magicians and men. After the show they were out in the lobby taking pictures and signing autographs, it was super cool. Jordan & I were a little too shy to swarm in the crowds waiting to talk to them so we gave them one last glimpse before heading into gambling central.

The casino is a really weird place, it was the first time I’d ever gone and there are a lot of creeps there. And people who looked like they had just picked up and left the hospice, life support & all. It was pretty sad but I guess those people had made the choice to be there, and anyway, me and Jordan both came out on top! And there were a lot of fun games, too! Jordan played a Batman one and “Wicked Winnings” and I mostly played She’s A RichGirl.

I think I’d made like $50 dollars or something but we bought some iced tea and smokes, and then we had to cab back to the skytrain station (and pick up some pizza) so really when I got home I’d broken even, BUT THE WHOLE DAY WAS FREE! :D

Worth it.

I love my boyfriend.

What an awesome time!

i wanted to take a picture so you guys could see for yourselves i’m still kickin’ it around town, but it’s super awkward, i’ve realized, to take webcam pictures of yourself in public. hence the discreet “nothing’s going on here ..” sip of coffee and head turn.
I’m really glad we’re stepping up, Vancouver.
Bummer Vancouver.
